Organic Technologies

I envision a time when the human sciences have not overlooked the fact that the plant kingdom is, apart from its beauty, a world of advanced technology. Whether it is trees that can raise sap 300 feet off the planet or plants that can transmute the elements, or bushes that can signal to each other the dangerous presence of insects, much of what the plant world accomplishes is far beyond our current understanding.

There will come a time when we will work collaboratively with plants, learning to appreciate their quiet wisdom and technological prowess. Perhaps we'll end up by producing devices that will look like flowers?
