2012 Homecoming
Of course, no one wants to be fooled one more time!
December 21st. 2012, will it be the end of the world? Or the start of something absolutely new? Will it be anything at all?
It’s the Mayan Calendar, at the center of all this, which is predicting the end of a very long cycle and it has to be admitted that it has been uncannily accurate in the past.
My best wish for that day--and I’m long enough in the tooth not to build up my expectations unreasonably--is that there will be a singularity of some sort. Planetary life will soon become untenable and it’s hard to believe that in a benign and well-organized Multiverse, the total destruction of a biosphere would be allowed to happen. Too much of a waste.
