Fandor at RestThe Urantia Book maintains that a bird species they call Fandors existed up until about 40,000 B.C. when they became extinct. Distantly related to the South American Condor, the Fandors' wingspan was some 40 feet and they were both capable and willing to carry human beings on their backs. Described as "semi-telepathic" (whatever that might mean!) they were said to be both friendly to humans and of great use in early forms of transportation. I suppose one of my most treasured fantasies is to have the opportunity to get to know and love such a creature and to fly on her back to inaccessible heights.
