Dream of the Insects

Spending time in Australia through the 1990’s, I came first to be stunned by Aboriginal Art, and then to deeply admire it. Most of the best of Aboriginal art does not read too well in small reproductions. The profound impact of the real thing, the dusty muted colors, the smell of the desert, and the many depths of meaning coded into their paintings drove hard into my psyche when I first stumbled on their work in Sydney.

Insect dreaming is a humorous gloss on some of my early impressions of Dreamtime Art.
